22 Meeting
Happy New Year. Our next CIPLA
meeting will be at the Athletic Club on January 22, 2015. Steven
M. Auvil, Esq. of Squire Patton Boggs in Cleveland will be our guest speaker.
Mr. Auvil's presentation will address data on patent litigation leading
up to and including U.S. Supreme Court’s 2013-2014 term and after the
U.S. Supreme Court’s 2013-2014 term and discuss the effects of the decisions
in Alice (101 patentable subject matter), Octane-Highmark (exceptional
case for fee shifting), and Nautilus (the test for definiteness of claims)
on lower court rulings. The meeting announcement is attached. We
hope you can attend the meeting.
