Dear CIPLA Members - CIPLA has a potential opportunity to conduct an Ethics, Professionalism and Substance Abuse program on September 12, 2013, or sometime later in the year. One of speakers may be an attorney from the Office of Enrollment and Discipline ("OED") at the USPTO to discuss the USPTO ethics rules. This could be a late afternoon/evening meeting and the cost would be about $50 for members and $60 for non-members. Prior to making an effort to put this program together the officers of CIPLA would apprecaite your feed back by March 31 on the following questions.
1. Would you attend an Ethics, Professionalism and Substance Abuse program for the September 12, 2013 meeting, or on another meeting day, as described above involving an attorney from the OED?
2. If an attorney from the OED was not part of the program would you still attend an Ethics, Professionalism and Substance Abuse program provided by CIPLA?
3. Would you be more likely to attend a luncheon program that involves only an attorney from the OED which provides ethics CLE but does not provide any CLE for professionalism and substance abuse? In other words, we conducted our regular luncheon meeting with an OED attorney as our speaker.
Please respond by return email by the end of this month. Thank you.
Best regards,
Liz, Yimei, Mark and Frank
