Hi.
I found the group via the CoworkingWiki site. I'm moving back to
Columbus in less than a month and I'll be working from home three days
a week. And by home, I mean my parents' home (I'm moving in with the
folks until I can meet with realtors, etc), so, needless to say, I'll
be looking for reasons to work out of the house.

I'm a new professor at OSU-Mansfield and I do some academic coaching
and consulting on the side (www.ontrackacademic.com).

How does your group work? Did you all know each other before the
group? It seems from the discussion boards that you're mostly meeting
once a week. Is that for work or discussion...? And (last question)
are you still looking for a space or has that been dropped for the
time being?

Hi Jessica — glad to hear from you! I don't have a whole lot of time to respond, but I don't want you to get no response but a resounding echo either... ;-)

We are currently keeping to a (mostly) once-a-week schedule. On Fridays, in any of a handful of locations (you can browse back entries on the blog to get a pretty good idea for where we've been: http://corkboardcolumb.us/ )

And, for the most part, none of us knew each other before we started this in… February of this year, I think it was.

YES. A physical location is very much in the works (for me, at least, that's the whole motivation -- I love the Friday things, but I need a longer-term solution.) A smaller subset of us are putting together a partnership this summer, looking at locations and hope to lock something down by late Summer or early Fall.

I keep intending to write up a "where we're at" statement on my blog but I don't want to do that until some small milestones are met (not out of an attempt to be secretive or anything... just trying to only share progress when there's actual progress to share.)

And, regarding 'visit or work' … it's usually a little bit of both. Some weeks are heavier on discussion than others.

By all means -- please do look us up when you're back in Columbus! It's been a great group of folks to get to know. I'm sure you'll fit right in.
