The Way of Mastery ~ Lesson 23 ~ The Voice for Love

Hi All,

How are you? Feeling like it is still the end of summer is what I am feeling. Wow it is beautiful out!

Must look like I like the outdoors. I do and I like the indoors and people and growing within. That is why I am here with this book and sharing the information with you.

I would like to share something intimate for me. My sister is in transition from having metastatic cancer. She is in hospice and taking one day at a time. Through my studies I have learned how to be with what is; to explore, to observe, to feel, to ask what to do in this moment.  As Jon Marc Hammer says making it neutral, just to “BE”. I can say… I am not always there. However, I have explored it and I am creating intension that I be “awake” and observe each moment. I heard today, “enjoy” the moment that is happening because it is my experience too.  I can’t stop what is happening to my sister, I will Love her no less. I want to hear what God, Divine Love, the Light of God, I AM, call it what you may. There is a message for me to “know”. You know, we are all going to go someday, each is an experience of our own and we can have an egoic experience of fear or we can “BE”… open and trust the love that will unfold as we are making our transition. I am making choices that I can look back on and know I was not sleeping.

This is one of my many experiences I have had. And in reading this book and talking in our class, we have had many deep discussions. Life is not about who we are to become how much money we make…. it is using our gifts to the ultimate, being guided, listening, Loving, forgiving and compassion. We need each other to do that and a community that wants to grow.  How many times do you want to come back and do the same things over and over?

Lesson 23 ~ The Voice for Love

 

• …to grow the soul’s awareness so that it rests in the depth of silence, and yet does not need to withdraw or turn away from the expressions of creation to do so….it need no longer judge the world that you see around the body. It need no longer strive to ascend to some spiritual height in which all things disappear. (pg 272)

• …the soul in its maturity has ascended into union with the voice for God… it has ascended into the depth of its Self. It has learned to stabilize itself in that internal silence. It has, through time, experienced that process of transformation in which even the conscious mind is no longer thinking for itself, but is informed from the depth of the true Self, the depth of the soul, the voice for Love, for god, Christ Itself. (pg 272) 

• …Reality is one and unshakeable and only Love is real. Yet the dream should never be denied. For denial creates separation. Only embracing can allow  healing – the healing that Love brings.

• When any mind within the Sonship chooses to awaken and heal its own illusions, Love begins to inform that mind more, and more and more so that its expressions serve the voice for Love. The voice for Love has only one purpose: to be extended into the dream, into the illusion, to nudge the aspects of the Sonship yet sleeping. So that the entirety of the Sonship can be returned, or reawakened to the reality of itself as the creative conduit through which God extends…When any mind truly awakens, it no longer sees specialness in the world at all. Each moment is merely surrendered into…the impetus of Love. (pg 273)

• …The awakened mind has no idea, one day to the next, what Love will ask it to do, and how Love is to be expressed through it. The awakened mind knows that it is not the maker or the doer, and merely ask in every moment: (pg 274) 

What would you have me do?

• …where fear has been de-valued, Love springs forth. (pg 274) 

• …How can I get more? How can I avoid a certain experience or feeling? How can I make myself comfortable? How can I get another’s approval? How can I be acknowledged as a great master? None of that runs the awakened mind. (pg 274)

• Each context is surrendered within the mind itself over into the will of Love. And that mind through the personality, through the body structure while the body lasts, becomes a conduit that serves for the voice of Love. (pg 274) 

• The Way of transformation, then, is not gaining power; it is the release of all illusion. It is the willingness to release the grip that you have had upon the shadows that your mind has made up as a substitute for the Truth of your only Reality. The process of The Way of Transformation is the process in which you begin to use the mind quite deliberately, in a different way. (pg 275)

• …the deeper you come  to understand, to know and to feel the depth of the self that you have constructed in your attempt to conform to an insane world, the greater the space there is for you to be informed by Love. Not that the body disappears, not that the personality structures disappear but rather they become transparent.

• …a painter begins to paint devotional paintings out of her love and acceptance of grace. Or a speaker is brought into alignment with Love, and that Love creates a context in which what is spoken is spoken differently, with a different purpose and a different intent and, therefore, to a much different audience.  Or one who works with the hands in the fields begins to work for a different purpose, begins to be informed in ways to use the skills and gifts that one has developed, perhaps the feed the hungry, the needy. (pg 275)

• The sole/soul purpose becomes the willingness to allow Love to inform each moment. (pg 276)

• …bless the moment as you find it, for it serves two purposes. One, it is that perfect context for your awakening from illusion. And the very same moment, it is offering you the opportunity to cultivate your skill at being a conduit for the voice for Love. (pg 278)

• As you practice letting go of that which you once valued, you will discover that it gets easier and easier. With each experience of letting go, you find yourself carried in ways that you could never comprehend or create yourself into new formats, new contexts, in which your own wisdom awakens even deeper. (pg 278) 

• From this moment, decide to see time differently, to seize the opportunity to train the mind to be vigilant and aware. (pg 279 

 

 

…I am the Christ. There is only That One, and I am dissolved in and as That One. Call me not great, for only God is worthy of awe. That which I do, I do not of myself, but the Father does these things through me. I am one who merely loves Love so deeply that I am willing to surrender all things that I once knew to be my self, that my true Self, who is Christ, informs my every decision, my every gesture extension of the good, the holy and the beautiful.

This is the second to the last class. We then have a plan before we go to the last section of the book. Here is the excel sheet that Doug created for us to keep track. I will talk more about it next week when we have made positive decisions on how it will all work.
