Columbia Ultimate Pickup RETURNING March 10th

Thank you to everyone who helped make another great Ultimate pickup season! Our final pickup game of the year will be Thursday, October 30th after which traditionally we all grab dinner and drinks after. Please join us! Please also note that we will return to Patuxent Valley Middle School for pickup on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 at 5:30pm. Can't wait to see you back.

BUT WAIT! I WANT TO STILL PLAY ULTIMATE!

Rocket Rob is hosting his annual hat tourney this Sunday, October 26th. Setup and registration begins at 11, games begin at 12. Entrance fee is $5 for 3 games.

Hyattsville is hosting a Hat Tournament Friday, November 28th 10am-2pm at Driskell Park. Cost is "Pay what you can" for 3 games. Sign up to play through the Hyattsville Facebook Page

Look out for upcoming events (such as UMBC's Frozen Elephant in January) that nearby groups post in our Columbia/North Laurel Pickup Facebook page. 

CMUA hosts an indoor league every year which this year will be hosted Wednesdays 8-10pm and Thursdays 9-11pm at Sports World Columbia. Cost is $120 for 2 games a night from January 7th through March 13th. Registration for women matching players begins 11/10 and open registration on 11/24. Get more information on cmuadisc.org 

Many of our players go to Arundel Ultimate on Saturdays at Arundel High starting at 2pm. Join the Facebook group for updates

There are plenty of other opportunities to touch disc during the offseason, please check pickupultimate.com for a list of games in the area.

AND DON'T FORGET TO THANK DEVIN FOR BEING ON TOP OF GAME DAY CALLS AND SETTING UP THE FIELD NEARLY EVERY DAY! Devin has been a huge part of making this group happen this year and appreciation for that should not be understated.

On top of that, Jim and I are planning on continuing last year’s offseason program of games under the lights at the APL softball fields, with goalty Tuesdays and “mini” Thursdays, starting in early November and continuing until March.
