It's here. The iPad has been revealed. I just read this article about
it. http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/01/26/hotly-anticipated-apple-tablet-expected/

Any thoughts?

Have you been following the reveal? Feel free to post links regarding
this.

This looks like it will be pretty awesome! =D

Yeah,

Been following the event from work.  I have to say, I am on the fence right now. The price point it right on for a eReader on Chronic.  On the other hand  it looks like a stretched out iPhone.  Are we going to be able to put more than four icons on the dock?  Will the grid be t h a t stretched out?  What about multi-tasking? Notifications?  I think that we were shown a little bit too little.  All though I have to admit....it is a bit Star Treky...and I like that.  I only wish it ran the full OS X...This won't replace a development environment for a programmer, but it is certainly something nifty.

I am in. If I could, I'd be buying on right now.

The iPad is running iPhone OS 3.2. It has the same limitations as the
iPhone.

I think iPhone OS 4.0 will fix the big limitation (No multitasking).

All of that aside..

I think it is very reasonably priced considering it has an
accelerometer, and a compass, and the same unibody construction
MacBook Pros have.
I was willing to spend nearly the same price on a Kindle DX, so I am
in. I'll take a color screen, Mac syncability, 10 hours of battery
life under constant use.

I will be waiting a little bit before I buy one. I have to sell my
MacBook first. (At least)

If Ian is right (and I highly suspect he is) and 4.0 fixes the big limitation of the multitasking, then I might just sell my macbook and get one....I do most of my work now..at work (imagine that) and Most of what I do at home could be done on the iPad....I mean, shoot, I've worked on websites from my iPhone before.....
