I'm toying with an web application idea.  I'm thinking it's a combination of 6 or 7 pieces that have been done a million times before plus 15% original stuff.  From what I know about web development frameworks, this would be a good fit.

I've been playing with python for some of my CNC/CAM work.  I really like the language and what I know about the django framework is cool so I'd like to go that way.  But I really want to short circuit the learning curve.

So, is anyone here a python/django resource?  Or do you know someone?  I'm looking for someone that could take all the off-the-shelf components/extensions available and help wire it up so I could start experimenting with the unique part quicker.

Brad,

Try the comorichweb list. I know there are some die-hard django hackers in the group.

Python is pretty much my bread and butter, and I'd be more than interested in helping out.  I'll give you as much free time as I can spare, at least for a bit -probably be more time for me next week, just email me!
