Hi all!
Leading up to the total solar eclipse on April 8, we will be visiting a number of branches of the New York Public Library to talk about the eclipse and to lead some educational eclipse-related activities, mainly geared towards kids and parents. We already had our first visit last week -- on March 9 at the Washington Heights Library -- but we have five more visits coming up! Here's our schedule of upcoming programming (see also the attached flier):
- Saturday, March 16 @ 11am: St. Agnes Library (Intended audience: ages ~5-12)
- Thursday, March 28 @ 5pm: Harlem Library (Intended audience: ages ~5-12)
- Saturday, March 30 @ 11:30am: Harry Belafonte 115th St. Library (Intended audience: young kids (ages ~3-7) + parents)
- Saturday, March 30 @ 2pm: Riverside Library (Intended audience: teens and adults)
- Saturday, April 6 @ 2pm: Macomb's Bridge Library (Intended audience: kids (ages ~5-12) + parents)
We're looking forward to seeing you (and your kids) at your local library!
Very best,
Columbia Astronomy Public Outreach
