Hi Everyone,

Tonight is our last lecture & stargazing session for the spring semester! College of Staten Island Assistant Professor Emily Rice will be wowing you with all we know about the other worlds that seem to be all over the galaxy in her talk entitled "Exoplanets Everywhere!"

It's not clear(!) if the skies will cooperate as the forecast is partly cloudy, but observing may be possible. Join us for the lecture at 8pm and then stick around for more astronomy fun! 

Abstract: According to the most recent results from Kepler and other surveys, exoplanets are everywhere in the Milky Way Galaxy, and likely the entire Universe. But how close are we to finding another Earth or to answering the eternal question: are we alone in the Universe? I will explain how we came to understand the ubiquity of exoplanets, describe the complexity of the current census, and foreshadow what discoveries likely lie ahead in the coming years.
