Fireworkz Linux port?

Some 10 years ago there has been the question whether Fireworkz will be ported to Linux.

I think Stuart said: no, and there have been reports of users that FW works under Wine.

I've tried it with Wine: failed to work on Wine with MX Linux 23.6, with MX Linux 25.1, with "Raspbian" Trixie 64bit on RPi4B ("wineserver doesn't support the 01c4 architecture") and "Raspbian" Trixie 32bit on RPi4B.

It sort of worked on Wine with MX Moksha 25.1 with an error message after having closed Fireworkz.

I presume Fireworkz still will not be ported to Linux? Probably too much work and not enough users for a Linux version?

But if it is ported to Linux, I am definitely interested in the Linux version!

Hi Stefan,

I can't get it to work under WINE.
However I have managed to get it fully working under Bottles.

I must admit that currently the software I had running under WINE no
longer works, and I find Bottles to be a bit more fiddly.
