COL Staff Fundraising Drive

Assalamu Alaykum Dearest COL staff (past and present),

We hope this email finds you in the best faith. We wanted to share with you a fundraising initiative that we encourage your participation in. COL is currently in dire need of funding and your assistance in this effort would be greatly appreciated. The staff member that raises the most funds will be eligible to win an iPad Air. 

This program has been a big blessing for us and we would like to take a moment of your time and ask for your assistance in raising funds.

As you have come to know, we are a unique Qur’an school. We teach the Qur’an differently than traditional hifz schools. Our goal is to not only produce individuals who memorize the Qur’an, but to also produce Muslims who love it, understand it and are eager to interact with it on every level and thus capable of passing on that love and knowledge to others, inshaAllah.  This is a noble but hefty goal. It is critical that Carriers of Light maintain financial independence so that we can provide a program of the highest of quality for our children.  

I love COL and would love to help see it flourish!  How can I help?

1. Solicit “Patrons of Light” sponsors at the $100 level.

1. If you have family and friends, please call/email them and share awareness (via social media and other avenues) of COL and the program that is offered.

2. Once you have a Patron…

1. Take down the donor info on the Patron Data Sheet

2. Ask for method of payment

1. Credit Card – Have them pay online at www.carriersoflight.com (We highly recommend that you have them do it online at that moment, so that they don’t forget to do it later.) In the notes section make sure the donor lists your name.

2. Check -  Collect the check, checks are payable to “Carriers of Light”

3. Cash – Collect the funds and submit to COL

3. Please remember if the payment is NOT collected then the donor is not considered a “Patron of Light” and therefore the student cannot include them on their data sheet.

3. The drive ends on Monday February 24, 2014 to the front office as this is the final day of the drive. All funds collected must be submitted to COL by this date for eligibility for the winning prize.

4. We hope that every family participate in the team effort. To encourage that we will recognize the students that participated in a school ceremony.

5. COL is a registered 501c3 and therefore all donations are tax-deductible.

   
   

The success and continuation of COL comes first and foremost through Allah and then through the dedication of the COL staff.  Jazakum Allahu khayran in advance for your assistance in our 2nd Annual Winter fundraising drive.  We pray that Allah will reward all of you generously and that we be honored to present this effort to Allah as a humble attempt for Him to accept us among those mentioned in the hadith of His beloved “The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.”
