Hi Mike and everybody.

I try to use the "Magic Wand" to select colors/objects of the web page
to change colors...

I've try with Right/Left Click mouse to select but nothing happen,
except the usual use of my mouse.
If I left click in the "background color" nothing happen if I click on
an object with a link I,m redirected to destination of the link :(

I've tried on many different pages...

I found this tutorial :
http://www.htmlgoodies.com/beyond/webmaster/toolbox/article.php/3919261/Firefox-Extension-for-Web-Development-Color-That-Site.htm

It is very good written and should be included on the help of CTS ;-)
( Btw I can translate most in French in my spare time it can help some
users)

The Tutorial tell about the "magic wand" tool:

"Beside that are two icons, the bottom one being a "magic wand" type
tool. Click the icon to enable the tool; then, click on a page element
to highlight it. (The targeted element will be bordered with a bold,
dashed red border.) . Once the desired element has been identified in
the popup window,...."

So I don't see any "element bordered with a bold, dashed red border"
or pop-up windows ???? :(

If I over my mouse over "Colors tab switchs" Foreground or Background,
I will see sometime to what element the color refer...

But not the reverse picking up the color/object from the web page with
the "magic wand" ???

I use Firefox 10.x beta and I've tried too with a clean Firefox 3.6.25
to be sure it was not the version of Firefox that was the culprit same
thing happen :( .

I'm on Windows Seven pro 64bits. 16 gig ram (yes 16 gig)

From now all others thing seem to work fine with CTS, but the "Magic
Wand" for me IS the killer tool that will save me a lot of time trying
to change figure specific color without guessing ! :)

I'd appreciate any help that Mike or anybody you could give me ! :)

Best Regards and Happy New Years to Everybody !

Hi Mike,

ok, congratulations you encountered an error in the add-on.

The wand is out of function currently due to a coding error which i
didn't note before releasing.

Sorry for the inconvenience. :-(

I will bring the wand back into function on the next release.

Happy New Year 2012 anyway to you, and everybody else.

Hi Mike,

Forgive me for the Dual or Triple posting... ;-)

But I like that the post are on the board so it can help others...

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your Fast Reply... ;-)

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

When you will have a beta with "the magic wand" fixed would you send
me I'm willing to test it and try it by by the way ?

-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Do you have the path of the "repository" (not sure if I have the good
word since my native language is french) where you keep old version ?
HERE I ANSWER TO MY OWN QUESTION: http://releases.mozillaonline.com/pub/mozilla.org/addons/200730/

In the meantime I'd like to use CTS Version 0.12 since the magic wand
is there and there is not to much change except translation and
brightness button added.

Could you send me the link to CTS Version 0.12 or the XPI file ? HERE
AGAIN I ANSWER MY OWN QUESTION: JUST CHANGE THE RDF "max version" FILE
IN THE XPI PACKAGE SO YOU WILL BE ABLE TO USE THE MAGIC WAND MINUS THE
FIX OR IMPROVEMENT FROM THE PREVIOUS VERSION.

So from now I've installed the 0.12 version with FF10.x and it seem to
work fine... After my lunch I will try more CTS to construct CSS FILE
to change background and foreground to make it more easy to read.

Thanks !!!
