Feature request: Test Patterns

First, thanks for Agave. It's a great program.

I have a suggestion: include "Test Patterns" in the color display so
that you can see the colors next to each other.

For example, a pyramid, square or pie slice pattern would show the
colors together. Better would be a <a href="http://
img443.imageshack.us/img443/8821/
celticknotfromjanuaryjd5.th.gif">celtic knot</a> , or <a href="http://
accuracyandaesthetics.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/10/
mobius.jpg">mobius strip</a>.

It would really be great if users could import a picture, and Agave
would display their picture with the different colors. People could
make a web page template, or GTK+ dialog template, and see the colors
used in their template. It would need to let people mark areas, like
with a "magic wand" selection, so that would be harder to do.

Yeah, I agree that this would be a nice feature addition.
Unfortunately, my time on agave has been pretty low due to other
projects that I'm working on, but I will definitely keep it in mind
and will try to implement it if I get time.
I'm glad you like the program.
