Hi,

I have downloaded and flashed the 2.0.6 firmware from http://www.hughski.com/downloads/colorhug2/firmware/ (the factory firmware was 2.0.3 if I remember well).
The device is detected

$ lsusb
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 04f2:b45d Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 8087:0a2a Intel Corp.
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 04f3:012d Elan Microelectronics Corp.
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 1199:a001 Sierra Wireless, Inc.
Bus 001 Device 008: ID 090c:1000 Silicon Motion, Inc. - Taiwan (formerly Feiya Technology Corp.) Flash Drive
Bus 001 Device 007: ID 273f:1004 Hughski Limited ColorHug2
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

But the calibration fails. When I gcm-picker :

(gcm-picker:6548): GnomeColorManager-WARNING **: failed to get sample: usb:00:01: Invalid read: retval=0x0a [Invalid value] cmd=0x35 [get-remote-hash] (expected 0x35 [get-remote-hash]) len=64 (expected 22 or 64)

How to fix that??

Hi,

I would first try to update to 2.0.7 (I seem to remember it fixed exactly this issue), through fwupd (it’s not available through other means). Just install fwupd (it’s available in [community]) and then run:

fwupdmgr get-devices
fwupdmgr get-updates
fwupdmgr update

to check that your ColorHug is correctly detected (as well as potentially other devices), get the update for it and finally update it.

Regards,
Bruno

You were right: Switching to 2.0.7 firmware, fixed the problem.

By the way, very nice Gnome integration! Good job! Thanks a lot.
