KM cpp500 Woes-

We have been having tons of issues with our KMcpp500s. Does anyone have
any input on their experience with them being used as Low End
production Copier/Printer/Scanners in the Office?

We get more Jams, Error Codes, Fuser Issues that can only be cleared by
a Tech Call, Toner use is excessive. 20 LB paper curls in 4C jobs
causing More Jams and the such. Not many User Servicable Parts...

I want a XEROX 240/250- Any Ideas? We are stuck in a Contract now... :(

Loved a XEROX DocuColor 12 when we had issues with a Canon 500 back
around 2000. Remember the Finer Brighter Toner that would get
everywhere and cause sensor Jams! Uggghhhh!

Well ours is still sitting waiting for the court case. We were purchasing
ours with a 50 % down when it had all the problems of not having the patches
applied which I have posted information about.

Also a Konica dealer competitor to Ikon found they had not set the
environmental settings which affect photo quality..

On our invoice is a mention of 15% restocking fee. As I asked Ikon to take
it back - I will ask in court that if I loose my case the judge limit me to
the 15% restocking fee - in which case I would still win.

Regards paper curling - and jambs. Paper looks identical each side but will
work better one way up than the other. In a straight in situation I would
suggest paper right side up out of pack. But underneath then upside down.
Rule of thumb is to put it all in the same way from your packages and if it
jambs then turn it the other way up. It can make a difference.

I am looking at a new copier 240 / Cpp500. Pricing is quite a bit
better on the CPP 500 but I do not want grief.

Any feedback on how satisfied people are with the Xerox 240?

Pay the Price for the XEROX!

We just had a night of rebuilding the FIERY RIP with its 75 or so
patches as well and only to have the copier down the next morning -
Fuser Burned/Jammed some printouts while someone was making a basic
Scan job. Its the CPP500 that are JUNK in my mind. This will be some 3-
4 weeks in a row a Tech has had to come out to intervien and reset the
copier to have it come back up-
