We all want a 240/250, it would be the perfect fit. Color, B+W,
amazing quality, stock capabilities, etc. BUT the upfront cost is too
much for us right now.
I have been advocating a 7665 which I had a sales person pitching me
about a year ago. It has good quality but the built in RIP constrains
our workflow. Has anyone had experience with a 3rd party workflow or
software RIP?
On the technical side my boss also doesn't believe that it is the same
basic 240/250 engine, quizzing me about technical details of how the
toner and fuser oil are combined. He is wanting a C500, but I am very
hesitant seeing some of the back and forth about it on the web and my
previous experience with KM.
I have a salesperson banging on my door over a 2045- anyone have any
experience there?
Finally the finisher, has anyone done serious work on the saddle
stitch for any of these machines? In my past experience any
production folding needs a dedicated machine.
Thanks

The 500 and others are good machines, but now dated. You want the 6500, Read
the article above.
