I've used Color Cop for a long time and absolutely love it. But since
installing it on my new computer (Windows 7) it hasn't worked
properly. When you hold the eyedropper over something it flicks the
correct colour so briefly you can't see it. Then it shows a random
colour. This happens even if you point it at a solid block of
colour.

When you stop holding the eyedropper the Color Cop screen shows random
items from the page you're on.

Help please! Any idea what's going on?

I had a similar problem before.
Then I tracked the problem to the mouse pointer properties.
I don't know if your problem is associated with mouse.

It seems that the colorcop pointer behaves same as the configuration of the mouse pointer.
Please try to change the mouse pointer to regular simple default mode, meaning not to add any fancier moves, tails, or shadows.

I have Windows 7 and have no problems whatsoever. Nothing wrong with colorcop itself.
There's something wrong in your computer.

Thanks, Steven, for your help. Unfortunately changing mouse
properties hasn't made any difference.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling CC, but no difference.

I've now investigated my display settings further, and found that I
can get CC to work properly by adjusting overall text size (control
panel - appearance & personalisation - display) from large to medium.
Unfortunately I need it large, as all the Windows 7 display seems to
be smaller than Windows XP, and my eyes aren't as young as they used
to be :(

Thanks, Steven, for setting me on the right track to finding the cause
of the problem.

Glad to hear that you resolved the problem.
So, the CC pointer is also susceptible to display setting.
