Cherry Creek update

I checked the new ice at Cherry Creek at sundown yesterday. Just offshore it was 2.5" thick. I did not venture out to drill more test holes. Maybe by Sunday morning it might be thick enough to sail on.  I plan to go over tomorrow morning (Sunday) unless there is an unexpected snow dump.  I will sail on four inches as long as other people are around to pull me out :) I got a voice mail from Selbino yesterday indicating there is too much snow on Chatfield for it to be sailable anytime soon. chuck mawhinney
