Carpooling from the bay area

Hi all, 

I'm excited to be doing this ride! I will be heading over from San Francisco and it seems that driving may be the most straight forward option (the train is too long for me, I don't have the patience). I would love to carpool with 2 more people to share the long drive (especially on the way back when we will all be pretty pooped). 

I can volunteer my car but it is stick shift, so not ideal since most folks would rather automatic. I do have a bike rack (that fits 3 bikes comfortably, four very ambitiously) that we could use on another car that has a hitch.
