Great summary, Crystal! To add one more thing... only 50% of AEA members are part of a Topical Interest Group (TIG)... TIGs are the homes we evaluators live in, and they make AEA a stronger intellectual community. If you are an AEA member and haven't joined one yet, take the time to pursue the 55 or so TIGs and select some that align with your areas of interest. You'll be invited to events (trainings, meetings, and sometimes parties at AEA), be asked for input, join an online email stream specific to that topic, and have the opportunity to join a leadership position when you are ready.
