Northern Colorado CURE's exonoree event

Nick Boyd and No CO-CURE hosted a Witness to Innocence event last night. The attendance was small, but we had some competition with other events taking place last night. Even though the crowd wasn't large it was a very good event. I took some pictures. The first gentleman is Derrick Jamison exonorated from death row in Ohio. The next picture is of Shabaka WaQlimi (Joseph Green Brown), exonorated from death row in Florida. You can read their stories at www.coadp.org. Next up is Nick with Derrick and Shabaka. Last picture is of Shabaka and family. While on death row, Shabaka was adopted by an older couple in Wisconsin. The man is this picture is Shabaka's adopted brother who he had not met in person before, along with his wife and son. They live in Fort Collins so we not only had an exonoree event last night, but also a small family reunion.
