The General Assembly is scheduled to adjourn sine die  May 13, 2026

The effective date for bills enacted without a safety clause, unless otherwise specified, is August 12, 2026, the 90 day period after adjournment. August 12th is also the cutoff date for submission of petitions to enact bills.

As we are at the end of the Legislative session, the General assembly had a session on Saturday May 9th, primarily to work on passing existing bills.
