When SECURUS first took over from GTL, they instituted an individual phone number for each facility for outgoing inmate calls.
That evidently changed to a single number that showed as being from CDoC, regardless of the facility, and was based upon the area code being connected (i.e., 303, 719 or 970). In other words, where a call originated within the CDoC system, it showed up as a phone number unique to that area code and you could not identify which facility till you accepted the call..
As stated below, CDoC/SECURUS has had to go back to individual phone numbers for each facility.
What's important about this, is that some phone systems will show the incoming call to you as SPAM as it's originating from a business. To prevent this, you can add the number for a facility to your contact list, thus making it an approved number, or after receiving a call can add the number to your contact list to prevent any further issue.
