Our Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) value of truth calls us to acknowledge the pain we, as a state department and as human beings, are feeling. Our BHA value of equity calls us to acknowledge every person's right to love and express their identity freely, and safely. Our purpose calls us to stand with the LGBTQIA+ community in solidarity and grief.

BHA Commissioner Dr. Morgan Medlock reflected on the tragedy at Club Q in Colorado Springs on November 19, 2022 that affected the LGBTQIA+ community.

Read Dr. Medlock's statement on the Club Q tragedy here.
