 Dear Advocates for Change members,
The Pueblo Chamber of Commerce holds its Colorado Legislative BBQ on Friday, August 28, starting at 5:00 to 7:00PM, at the Colorado State Fairgrounds, 1001 Beulah Ave, Pueblo. Tickets are $100 for non-Chamber members. Regrettably, A4C cannot cover ticket costs, so attendees will have to pay their own way.
The Chamber invites the Governor, all 100 legislators, and Colorado's congressional delegation each year, and a number typically attend.
This is a social event, not a lobbying one. The goal is simply to introduce our organization and request a real meeting later at a legislator's Denver or district office.  No one will approach legislators alone, unless you want to.  You will always have a companion and supporter.
Please read before you consider going.
The event is at the State Fairgrounds during the State Fair, and the ticket includes fair admission. If you are on probation, parole, or any form of supervision, please talk to your supervising officer first. Regrettably, we cannot advise you on your conditions and we certainly will not ask about them. This is also a public political event that sometimes draws press, so assume you may be recognized or photographed.
Everyone attending will join one required Zoom call beforehand to walk through what our goals are in attending this event and how to approach legislators.   Tickets will be purchased following the call.  We also hope to help arrange carpooling if you wish.
We’d love for you to attend both the information session, and of course, the BBQ.  Please email ellengf...@hotmail.com by Friday, July 31.  Emailing does not commit you to anything, and we would love to have a chance to talk to you.
In solidarity,
Advocates for Change Colorado
