Subject: Colorado Families Speaking Up for Family Reunion Visits
To: <spike...@gmail.com>

Hello,

I’m reaching out because this is something that affects so many families like ours. When someone goes to prison, their family serves the sentence too. Spouses, children, and parents are left trying to hold on to relationships through short visits where we barely have time to hug before we have to say goodbye again.

Many other states have family reunion visitation programs that allow spouses and children meaningful time together in a safe, regulated environment. These programs help maintain marriages, strengthen parent-child bonds, and support rehabilitation.

Right now, Colorado prison laws and policies are being discussed and changed. This creates an important moment for families to speak up and bring attention to the importance of keeping families connected.

A petition has been started asking Colorado leaders to consider creating a family reunion visitation program. Over 1,000 people have already signed, and we are trying to grow that support so lawmakers understand how important this is for families across the state.

If you are willing, please consider supporting by signing the petition, sharing it with others, or helping bring awareness to this issue. Every voice helps show that Colorado families care deeply about maintaining meaningful connections with their loved ones.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting families who are navigating the challenges of incarceration.
Best regards,
