DU PAI is proud to announce new issues of our statewide CDOC newspaper, "The Inside Report" and literary magazine, "Reverberations" are available to read and share.

The mission of "The Inside Report" is to provide an intellectually challenging forum for information, entertainment and inspiration, written by and for the people who live and work within the Colorado Department of Corrections. The newspaper's staff strives to be good stewards of the truth, while recording history and news that affects us all.

"Reverberations - The Magazine" is a high-quality literary and visual arts magazine with engaging, thought-provoking ideas, providing a critical and creative outlet for incarcerated individuals and serving as a voice for a community of writers and scholars, artists and visionaries.

Thank you for supporting "The Inside Report" and "Reverberations - The Magazine"!

Congrats "Universe Within"!

The Universe Within cast with DU PAI staff, at La Vista Correctional Facility.

Recently, DU PAI celebrated a devised theatre project called "Universe Within" with a performance at La Vista Correctional Facility.

"Universe Within" featured more than 15 incarcerated actors. In front of a live audience, these resilient women performed brilliantly for a show two years in the making.

Congratulations to these dedicated and talented individuals who persevered through COVID-19 restrictions and many months of delays, to perform in front of friends and loved ones.

Thank you, Arts in Society for supporting our project "Sojourn: The Search" that evolved into "Universe Within"!

Wish Us Luck!

DU PAI's book "Tell It Slant: An Anthology of Creative Nonfiction from Colorado's Prisons", published by its literary wing, LuxLit Press, has been nominated for a 2021 Colorado Book Award in the Anthology Category!

On Saturday, June 25th, at the Studio Loft at Ellie Caulkins Opera House, we'll find out if "Tell It Slant" has won for best anthology. Please, wish us luck! Thanks so much to the over one-hundred incarcerated contributors who are published in this amazing book. With this finalist recognition, they've added a great deal to Colorado's literary scene.

Thank you, Colorado Humanities and the Center for the Book for this great honor!
