Our records indicate that you may have previously participated in or expressed interest in attending one of our virtual visitation townhalls or you have previously contacted our Constituent Services Office with concerns regarding our visitation programs.
Maintaining family bonds is a core component of our mission. As we continue to evaluate the impact of the implementation of HB25-1013 and associated visitation policy revisions, we recognize the importance of ongoing dialogue with the families and supporters affected by these changes. We are hosting a series of Virtual Town Halls to create a dedicated space for robust discussion regarding your experiences with the current visitation system.
The primary purpose of these sessions is to address your questions and concerns and to solicit direct feedback on your lived experiences. Your insights regarding application processing, background check procedures, communication systems, visitation cancellations, visiting suspensions, and facility-level consistency are vital as we evaluate the impact of recent legislation and policy revisions on visitation. This forum is designed for us to listen to your concerns and gather the information necessary to better understand the challenges families are facing.
To facilitate these discussions, CDOC leadership - including Directors and Wardens - will be present at two Virtual Town Halls. This is your opportunity to ask questions and share your feedback directly with individuals who drive visiting policy decisions in DOC.
These sessions are scheduled at alternating times to accommodate various schedules:Session A (Morning Session):
Friday, July 17, 10 am -11:30 amSession B (Afternoon Session):

In your email please include the facility location of your loved one and indicate which policy areas or areas of operational concerns you are most interested in discussing. This information will allow us to organize breakout rooms and ensure that your feedback is captured accurately by the appropriate department representatives.

We welcome and encourage you to share the information with anyone who you believe would be interested in participating.
We value your continued partnership as we work together to build a more responsive, equitable system.
