Value Added Communications Inc. (VACI) provides phone services for correctional facilities across the country (Federal, State and Local) and provides a web site (myvconnect.com) for family members, friends and interested parties to pre-pay for collect calls that are received from offenders.

In looking to add funds to my account to receive calls from a friend incarcerated in Colorado, the website has the following posted on the home page :

Important Message for V-Connect Account Holders:

The myvconnect.com website is in the process of being replaced by a new website, offenderconnect.com.
The new website will offer several advantages, including the convenience of a single log-in to make deposits to both your AdvancePay phone and Inmate PIN Debit phone accounts.

For ALL V-Connect customers receiving calls from ANY FACILITY, including from Dallas County TX, Federal Bureau of Prisons, and NY State DOC:

You must now use the offenderconnect.com website to make deposits to your prepaid phone account.
Please click the link below to access or set-up your offenderconnect.com account and make a deposit to your AdvancePay prepaid phone account.

[Note: The new site competes with J-Pay in that it also is able to send in email messages to inmates.]

I have sent an email to VACI, as there is no information on transitioning to the OffenderConnect.com web site from your current account. As a matter of fact, you cannot access the existing information to check current balance.

It appears you have to create a new account at the
OffenderConnect.com site.

Thanks, Mike. I will need to make the transition, then. I appreciate the heads up!
