It's a long history and a pretty interesting one at that! Come join us to find out how we got here. As anticipated, DOC has recently been floating the idea of a new prison, so the questions is: new prison or schools? New prison or healthcare?

Dear Friend,   Colorado is on the brink of building a new prison for the first time in over two decades. Before we move forward, we need to pause and ask — how did we get here? Join us for an interactive education session, “How Did We Get Here? Understanding Mass Incarceration in Colorado,” where we’ll unpack the policies, decisions, and systems that have shaped incarceration in our state, and discuss the movement to change course.
