in the dangerman episode the man who wouldnt talk there is a black cat
lurking about in the hotel corridor, later at the gas station for a
quick moment you can see the cat sleeping on top of one of the gas
pumps. maybe the cat resided at the studio, must watch carefully to
see kitty on gas pump. i like to think that by watching all this
mcgoohan stuff it has helped broaden horizons, from vocabulary to
history etc. in the dangerman episode parallel lines sometimes meet
the closing line which i actually caught for the first time the other
night drake says "in a hammock a million miles away dreaming all the
time of plymouth hoe." i thought i must look this up, and this may
be not news to any of you but will share anyway. the quote pertains
to francis drake, and a place called plymoth hoe and was written about
in a poem by henry newbolt. you can read the poem by going to
collected poems by henry newbolt 1897-1907. later i looked this
episode up in the production guide by andrew pixley and it stated that
this line was unscripted and mcgoohan misquoted it. there are some
