Gracias!!

Subject: Special Event Volunteers Needed at the Calgary Public Library
Hello Cecilia,
We are eagerly looking for volunteers to help out for our upcomming Centenial Events and for our Curious the Chameleon volunteer program:
Celebrate with us on June 2nd!
The Library is celebrating our 100th birthday on June 2nd at every branch from 10 am to 4 pm.
Most locations are looking for volunteers to help serving food, directing people to the activity stations, greeting people as they arrive, and helping with any other activities that day.
So far the greatest need is at Central Library and Saddletowne, however all branches will need volunteers except Memorial Park, Signal Hill, and Calhoun who already have groups coming in.
Of course, if you aren’t interested in volunteering that day, feel free to visit a Library branch to take part in the festivities and feel free to bring your friends and family. All people are welcome to the Library!
Become Curious the Chameleon!
The other program where I am looking for volunteers is for dressing up as our Library mascot, Curious the Chameleon. This volunteer position involves dressing in costume and walking around a Library during a special event. Usually special events are evenings and weekends, and happen at a variety of Library locations. We are looking for volunteers who don’t mind wearing a giant Chameleon costume, have a healthy sense of fun, and are available to travel to different branches. The other volunteer position is to act as the mascot’s eyes and guide them through the Library, answering questions about them and making sure that the costume’s tail is not being pulled on nor is knocking young ones over.
Let me know if you are interested in either or feel free to forward to anyone you think might be interested!
Our mascot is very popular and is being booked constantly. We are in desperate need of volunteers to make sure we can accomodate the requests at the moment.
Thank you very much,
Christine Pinkney
