I don't see a lot of help requests through this list but I'm kinda
flummoxed here and think that someone here will know what is happening.
I have a point of sale system I've written for Ubuntu and I'm having a
problem getting cups to print with the lpr -l command. I'm sending a
small text file (a receipt) to a Star printer and I don't want the
output formatted. lpr -l shows success in the log, doesn't give an
error, but there is no output. The same file will print with the lpr
-Pprinter filename (but not how I need) but NOT with lpr -l -Pprinter
filename (or with -oRAW). I verified raw is allowed in the cups
mime.types.
Its driving me crazy as I have a machine with the same
CUPS/Ubuntu/Star Printer configuration in operation that also has the
same printer.conf file but it has NO problem printing.
FWIW, the lpr command without the -l prints about 5 characters and
then line feeds.
And advice would be wonderful! Thanks!
