Weuse standard models and fixed standard scenes to successively and over a long period of time document different material and colour moods with the same render scene. All these already created renders and all the future ones flow into the same InDesign layout file for our further use...
This (almost industrially) standardized process must always deliver the identical rendered scene - Within Enscape unfortunately we fail at this so simple and elsewhere usual task. We fail to reproduce an absolutely identical render. Even I alone already fail in this task, because my working environment is constantly changing as shown in the picture below, although it's always the same scene.
Obviously we do not recognize the trick - so I kinly ask not to refer me to any info page somewhere but to show me the necessary clicks in the Enscape capture window as a screenshot instead - Capture settings for dummies
The SU working canvas size changes as you roll dockers in and out (eg. "Layers") and change the size/position of the toolbars. Enscape's window/capture size is based on a custom resolution or based on the viewport aspect ratio: if you change the aspect ratio in SU (by changing the canvas size, by rolling dockers in/out) then it won't match up.
Either un-pin the dockers and float them so that the canvas space remains constant, or set a camera position and resolution within Enscape, then change the outlines/materials to generate the multiple images from exactly the same position with exactly the same viewpoint.
Thank you Gadget - with "un-pin the dockers" you speak about the trays I think? This I have tried unsuccessfully and shown here. Just as we fail because of the countless variations of the iconbars - both in their size and number, which all change the canvass sice as well
You write "or set a camera position and resolution within Enscape" - how is this done (I really have no idea since we stubbornly refer to the SkUp scenes only so far) and would this be an option that could also be transferred to other workstations?
The scene position is stored as an x,y,z coordinate where you are standing and another x,y,z of where your camera is looking. This is independent of screen size, resolution, trays, toolbars, etc. It cannot change other than by updating the "camera position" within SU.
However both SU and Enscape have Field of view settings that will distort the image generated - and this does depend on the canvas size. So even if you have everything set up exactly the same, both programs calculate the FOV differently and you can end up with images that don't overlap properly.
If you want images to overlap perfectly then you have to generate them all from within the same program (Enscape): you have to make sure the following are identical on each instance of Enscape and no matter which machine is running, the output should line up perfectly:
thanks again so I understand you correctly: I can fix a camera within Enscape (this i've already played with and noticed of course that immediately appears a corresponding scene within SkUp) - which capture settings are to choose then to achieve the necessary desired results over various workstations? - or is this approach also limited to my own current randomly working environment setup?

I need and would like so much to integrate Enscape into our workflow processes and can not overcome this barrier. These "failures" at such banal things we have never experienced elsewhere so far and to be honest, not expected too... and I hope the cool people of Enscape realize that this is a Prio1 issue.
You can then add these scenes to a favorites list with the "Manage Views" button (with a star, beside the camera button). This will put the camera location on a tab to the right of the Enscape window - clicking on it will take you to that view.
However each version of Enscape needs to be configured so that the Resolution is identical (from within the General settings dialogue). And the camera Field of view has to be manually set for each view (from the Rendering tab of Visual Settings). I would recommend taking a note of this setting within the Description field of the scene (in SU) so that anyone can reproduce the same image.
Unfortunately every other variable within the Visual Settings dialogue can change the final look of a rendered image; you might be able to generate images that would trace over each other, but one would be day and another night or one would be white mode with lines and another fully rendered.... Until these are saved with the scene there are too many variables to guarantee an exact reproduction of the same image between machines. (But why would you want to? Just send the image.)
I was deleting previously modeled doors in my OpenStudio SketchUp model to make new ones. While deleting boundary lines of one of the door, my wall surface turned into a door(subsurface to surface). How do I change it back to a wall? I tried changing the construction of the now subsurface in OpenStudio, but it only allows me to change the now door to glass door, fixed window. Pls help.
When you delete lines in SketchUp it automatically merges the two surfaces, and it isn't always predictable which surfaces is left. The easiest solution to your problem is to select the surface in the SketchUp plugin, and delete it. Then re-draw using the line tool one of the edges where the surface was. It will re-draw a new face and OpenStudio should properly classify it

Within your Enscape Accounts page you have the possibility to view and manage your licenses, view the usage data of your floating licenses, your invoices, add or edit your payment methods, make immediate payments against outstanding invoices, order and filter your subscriptions, as well as download individual invoices as .pdf or add a PO number to each invoice manually.
The Trial version has a 14-day limited License associated with the machine fingerprint directly, i.e., it does not require a License Key. Educational License Key holders should refer to the Educational License page if any assistance with License Keys is required.
User Management allows the license administrator to Add New users and Invite them to be able to use Enscape by assigning them access to a License Key. New users will also be able to manage uploads once they have been successfully added. Simply click the Add New button on top left of your User Management section.
Once clicked, you will be able to see the input field with an Invite button next to it. You can add users by inserting their email addresses in the input field. Once filled in, just click Invite and the respective user will be added to your list of users.
Once the user has been invited, they will receive an email containing a link to allow them to set a password. Once that has been done the user will appear in the list of users under the User Management page, where the administrator can then assign access to a specific Enscape License Key. You can also download individual invoices as PDF via the arrow button associated with each listed Invoice, as well as manually add a Payment Order number (PO) to each invoice via the PO NUMBER button. On top of that, you can export the entire table of invoices to a .CSV file.
To pay off individual invoices that are outstanding, place a tick in the checkbox next to those invoices that are listed in red (those listed with red text are the outstanding invoices). Once you place a check next to an invoice, a Pay Now button will appear at the bottom right of the screen and will include the total sum of the invoices you have selected to settle.
Clicking the Pay Now button will result in an overlay appearing to the right of the screen which will show your Billing Information, the selected Invoices you are about to settle, along with the Total amount as well as the Payment Method. If you are happy to proceed, then click the orange Pay button to confirm payment.
