Parameters to increase dense point cloud density?

Dear Johannes,

Could you please give us more information about which parameters in the dense matching and fusion processes can help increase the density of the dense point cloud? I would really appreciate it. Thank you! Also, I have not been able to test it but I am curious, does COLMAP recognizes and uses multiple GPUs for feature extraction, matching and dense maps?

The upper bound of the point cloud density is limited by the resolution of the input images. If you want to increase the number of points you could try to change the following parameters:

- set --DenseMapperOptions.max_image_size=0
- reduce --DenseMapperOptions.fusion_max_reproj_error
- increase --DenseMapperOptions.fusion_max_depth_error
- increase --DenseMapperOptions.fusion_max_normal_error
