Error when applying poisson_mesher to PMVS2 output [ERROR] Failed to validate properties in file

Hi,

I used PMVS2 to generate the dense model from the undistorted image but when I call the poisson mesher I get a property validation error. The ply opens in meshlab without error and I tried saving it as a binary but still get the same error. 

Does poisson mesher only work with COLMAP generated point cloud plys?

There might be some additional PLY properties that the Poisson meshing cannot deal with. Try to load and then export the point cloud in Meshlab and only save vertex+color properties.

Thanks for your prompt reply! I exported as color plus vertex but the mesher then gave out about the lack of normals. I exported them too and it calls on the file but it just generates an empty ply file.

Might be that the trim parameter in the mesher is set to high.
