a) When from the BIOS, in the MultiCore support, I check "2 cores", every diagnostic check run smoothly (see below the output of IPDT test. Apart from this, I have also run the DELL's diagnostic tool, and more specifically, the CPU stress script, with the same results).

b) When from the BIOS, in the MultiCore support, I check either "3 cores" OR "ALL cores" then, after a while, the computer crashes and gives a blue screen, and so, no more information regarding the specific failure. Have in mind that it is not a temperature problem, since during the tests, I check the temperature, with a third-party application, which shows no more 73 Celsius. The same output (blue screen) is given from the above-mentioned Dell diagnostic tool.

YseGuy I ran a memtest earlier with no problems being reported. Could this mean it may be a fault of the diagnostic tool? I just wanna get to the bottom of why that specific test fails. I have read that if my IMC was actually bad, that my computer would be having a lot more issues than what I have currently such as rejecting ram and such.

Ah the good ole days of diagnostics software that runs on a DOS platform. I still have a diag software program that runs on DOS but due to the limitations it is unable to test multi core processors, it can't handle large amounts of memory and forget testing hard drives because it can't see a full 4TB drive let alone the larger ones.

Intel has patched a high-severity vulnerability in its processor diagnostic tool, which could allow local attackers to launch several malicious attacks on affected devices, such as escalation of privilege or denial of service.

The Intel Processor Diagnostic tool is a free product that allows users to test and diagnose any issues in their processor before having to contact tech support. Intel on Tuesday released the patch in tandem with a fix for a medium-severity security vulnerability in its S4500/S4600 lineup of Solid State Drives (SSD) for data centers.

I am testing a GPU Compute Server (ASUS ESC8000 G4) with 2 Intel Xeon Gold 6154 CPUs and I ran the newest version of the Intel Diagnostic Tool (IPDT, Version 4.1.4.36.W.MP) and the tool passes all tests and indicates that both are Genuine Intel CPUs. But CPU-Z and HWInfo show the CPUs are Engineering Samples ("ES"). What is going on? Should I rely on Intel's Diagnostic Tool or doubt the CPUs to be genuine production-grade products? All hardware diagnostic tools I tried (HWInfo, CPU-Z, IPDT, Task Manager show that all cores run at full spec capacity and I have not had any issues so far) but the CPU-Z and HWInfo page still makes me doubt...any ideas what is going on? I also noticed that the newest version of the Intel IPDT tool does not include the SPBC tool, could that be the reason? Where can I get the SPBC tool?

Diagnose the performance and health of your Intel processor with the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool. This simple tool is designed to give you reports about the health of your processor and its performance.

The Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool is a tool that verifies the functionality of an Intel Microprocessor by stress testing the CPU. A Fedora Linux LiveUSB ISO images are available. The LiveUSB image allows you to stress test your machine without using your main operating system; such method might be useful in extreme cases especially when dealing with cold reboots/crashes.

Finally, this motherboard simplifies your build process and provides helpful diagnostics tools. The pre-mounted I/O shield eases an important installation step, and the PCIe Slot Q-Release button and M.2 Q-Latch system streamline the process of installing and upgrading your graphics card and storage drives.
