Antivirus on the CNC Router computer?

I see we've got Avast anti-virus on the CNC PC. 

Running any kind of software with Mach3 is HUGELY discouraged.  Folks talk about disabling network adapters and non-critical Windows services, etc.

I stopped short of uninstalling it, but I disabled its realtime scanning.  I recommend we remove it entirely, but will defer to others.

I’m not sure if that Avast was on there originally.
I though that computer was sneaker net only?

Right - sneakernet only.  Which reminds me...I left my thumb drive down there last night. dang.

It makes sense to me to turn it off and maximize CPU power. I tried to rotate the  g-code preview graphic while the machine was cutting yesterday and it paused the machine for a bit.
