Adding to the vision: This area will create an identity all it's own with the eclectic mix of businesses, architecture, and residents. Artist studios and insurance agents. Quirky, traditional and modern. Old timers and young transplants. This will be a true melting pot of Springfield. The rail line that is currently located between College and West Meadows will be put to an adaptive re-use of a rail based trolley or other means of transporting folks along Jordan Creek from Kansas Expressway (and beyond?) to Downtown bus terminal at College and Main, which will also include a coffee shop, bike shop, bike rental, and short term car rental - a true transit hub.
