Finding a funding source or a sponsor for the connection can be for
another day - but if we would like public WiFi in the area - we should
wire the new lamp posts to support data transmission and wifi
transmitters. Wire them for some sort of sound/public address system
as well? Electrical access for street vendors during festivals? (I
second the idea of outfitting at least a few with irrigation systems
for hanging baskets.) A couple of them should be able to catch a
holiday snowflake perhaps? (Going to be some happening lamp-posts...)
I know we talked new sewers for the north-side of the street - gas
lines? Make any of these happening new lamp-posts gas lamps?
