Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to share the call for contributions to the forthcoming edited volume: Experimenting with Care: Ethnographic Methods and the Ethics-Politics of Creative Practice.
This volume invites scholars and practitioners to explore the intersections between ethnographic experimentation and the ethics-politics of care. We seek contributions that examine how experimental methods — across diverse media, collaborations, and creative practices — can become spaces for attention, repair, and responsibility in research.
The call outlines four thematic axes:
Caring through devices: materialities and affects
Caring for the field: practices of sustenance and repair
Imagining with care: overflows and improvisations in research
Experimental pedagogies and ethnographic training through care
The two book series we have considered for the volume are the following. Both are from Routledge.
-Theorizing Ethnography: Concept, Context, Critique.
-Routledge Advances in Feminist Studies and Intersectionality.
You can find the full description of the call in attached as a PDF.
With kind regards,
