Generative AI is reshaping how we work together and tackle challenges, yet most tools still focus on individual use and overlook the collaborative aspects of creative and complex work.

🌟 Our CSCW workshop, Augmenting Collaborative Problem-Solving: Exploring the Design and Use of GenAI for Groupwork will engage in a critical discourse around the tensions and opportunities in designing the future of human-AI groups.

We invite researchers and practitioners across HCI, CSCW, Collective Intelligence, Social Science and beyond to submit position papers, early-stage ideas, demos, or pictorials and be part of the conversation!

🔍 Key themes we’ll tackle include:

  • The role of GenAI in group settings
  • Collaborative and multimodal interactions with GenAI
  • Evaluating GenAI’s influence within groups and designing for appropriate reliance
  • Evolving group practices in the presence of GenAI.

🗓️ Submission Deadline: August 10, 2025

📍 In person @ CSCW 2025, Bergen, Norway

Organizers: Janet Johnson, Steven Rick, Jens Emil Grønbæk, Emily Wong, Ming Yin, Michael Nebeling, Mark Klein, Mark Ackerman, Thomas Malone
