With one of our IMLS grants canceled earlier and now being reinstated, my colleague and I are revitalizing our effort to examine the value and practices surrounding old (legacy) research data. By "old" we mean datasets that may no longer be actively curated but still hold value for research, institutional memory, or historical insight.
