Call for Contributions: CIDOC 2024 Annual Conference at Rijksmuseum

Hello everyone,

The Call for Contributions to the 2024 CIDOC-ICOM annual conference is open for submissions.

The ICOM International Committee for Documentation (CIDOC) conference will take place in the Netherlands, at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam from the 11th to 15th of November, 2024.

You can contribute to the CIDOC conference in several ways by submitting:

a presentation proposal: presentations allow you to present your work in 20 or 10 minutes during a plenary session.
a lightning talk proposal: presentation of maximum 5 minutes, to share early work, provocative thoughts or a synopsis of work done.
a video proposal: pre-recorded video of maximum 5 minutes, to be broadcasted during the video track.
a poster proposal: posters allow you to discuss work in an informal setting, during an afternoon session.

This year's theme is "Sustainable Connections: Building Knowledge Networks":

Everything is connected. The stories museum collections tell connect people with ideas and events across the globe. "Sustainable Connections: Building Knowledge Networks" underscores the pivotal role of connectivity and collaboration in advancing museum documentation and knowledge sharing. We welcome participants' reflections and speculations probing the interplay between cultural heritage, technology, and collaboration.

The deadline for proposals is May 10, 2024. All proposals will be reviewed by the programme committee, the results of the review process will be sent by June 15, 2024.
