Zoom registration: https://zoom.us/meeting/register/dtMI5_T2RKWhvkkbNJTbWgOver 2024-2025 Public Records Office Victoria (PROV) undertook AI experiments on photographic description at scale, and 19th century transcription on demand with name indexes and registers. They are rapidly moving to finishing up the proof-of-concept work and have some results and insights to share about both Google Gemini Multi-modal Pro and Transkribus, as well as the workflow applications they have been using (and tweaking) to work for their purposes. Kate Follington from PROV will share insights and lessons learned in this webinar.  This talk follows on from the ⚡lightning talk⚡ given at the Fantastic Futures 2024 conference by Asa Letourneau & Kate Follington.
