Dear Collections as Data Community,
I would like to invite you to participate in an online interview
of 45-60 mins part of my PhD research on "Ethical ‘Collections as
Data’ Stewardship in the Age of Artificial Intelligence". This
project aims to explore diverse perspectives on the ethical principles proposed
by the CaD initiative, especially in light of the challenges and opportunities
presented by recent advancements in AI.
The
research is conducted by Giulia Osti (me), a d-real/SFI-funded
PhD candidate at the University College Dublin, School of Information and
Communication Studies, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Amber Cushing
(University College Dublin) and Prof. Suzanne Little (Dublin City University).
As dedicated professionals who engage with the Collections as Data initiative principles, your perspectives are invaluable to the ongoing conversation around ethical stewardship. If this aligns with your interests, I encourage you have a look at the Interview Recruitment Form – the participant information leaflet and the full description of the study are available there.
I want to thank you so much for considering this opportunity; your participation would greatly contribute to shaping a more ethically informed approach to digital collections in the era of AI.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
All the best,
Giulia
