VCS not recognizing updated files

FYI for anyone who might be having issues with modified files not
being picked up by version control:

When adding a new module to the CollaboRhythm project in IntelliJ,
there should be changes automatically made to the file
[CollaboRhythm]/.idea/modules.xml. If in the Changes View you don't
see that this file has been modified, it's probably b/c the .idea
folder is hidden, and so for whatever reason IntelliJ won't recognize
it. Once you set the file system to show all hidden files, then
IntelliJ should be able to pick up the changes.

I had this issue on Mac OSX, not sure if it applies across platforms.
