Why does the DeviceGatewayService (inside the android background process) start the collaborythm activity (startCollaboRhythmActivity(builder.build());) every time it sends data to the service?  Wouldn't connected devices be feeding collaborythm data pretty much constantly?  It has the effect of having collaborythm take over a tablet or phone (because every time it receives data it opens up the activity).  Should I be avoiding sending continuous data to the service and using some different paradigm to get data from my device to the system?

Filling in an answer Scott gave me.  Generally yes, the model is to only update when an action occurs hardware side so it makes sense to send the data to collaborythm and then launch the app.  Continuously flowing data has not been handled as of yet.  After thinking about it, this should be absolutely fine for our purposes (smart bottle integration).  Thanks Scott.
