Having just sent that email I've now seen the Coliseum Community page and Calendar on HoL, which answers my questions about the current events and dates. Sorry, I should probably have gone through all the links before emailing.

Anyway, thoughts on where I might fit into the calendar would still be appreciated, although it looks like I might need to try and sort out a different evening, which is fine.

I wouldn't really want to do it 'dry' though, so to speak.

Any thoughts on where this might possibly fit in are most appreciated and welcome! Unfortunately I can't make the evening of Saturday 15th, which could possibly have been the closest match.

Is everyone happy with the 'Coliseum Rooms' logo? I'd like to createa HoL post called 'Coliseum Graphics' if that's OK, asking people for help/comments to improve the design.

Nora, thanks very much for getting involved. The Culture Jam idea is that many people each make short contributions, so if, say, someone wanted to deliver a song or play some music, it's only be one item (songs are often just a few minutes long) as there are others who hopefully want to contribute.  Each item is followed by some conversation and usually a short film.  So, a musician who loves playing might be disappointed to have travelled specially yet just gets to play for a few minutes rather than do a 'set'.

If you know people who would enjoy this sort of thing, please ask them to 'join' the event http://www.harringayonline.com/events/coliseum-culture-jam

If you know of anyone who would like to 'perform', bearing in mind that  it's only one item at a time, please ask them to let me know what they intend. People don't need to stand up, they can just tell a friend or me or anyone that they'd like something done and we'll arrange it.

If anyone has any ideas for short films (copyright free), please also get in touch.  I have a big list of suitable material so if nobody has any other ideas, there's still enough to fill the two hour slot.

Literally anything 'cultural' is welcome, so Hugo, if you wanted to give a short talk about a cultural aspect of wine, you'd be welcome. Rob, hugh, anyone - do you have a favourite poem, film trailer, page or two of a novel, story to tell etc - please do!

I'm concerned that not enough people will turn up to the events!  If we can get the community on our side, surely they will 'join' the events on HoL, won't they? Anyone got access to any mailing lists?

Added the event to the calendar - I think you need to be signed into a google account to add to the calendar.

I've also posted in the 'event's thread, which is linked from the main Coliseum page: (http://www.harringayonline.com/forum/topics/pop-up-space-to-open-on-green-lanes-for-december-suggestions-requ) 

Suggest we keep that thread going with extra details etc so as to help alert the posters that what they wanted happened, in the hope that they'll actually come to the events...

I guess what we need to do now is to contact a list of local organisations and ask them to support our events. Rob, what else is likely to happen?  Is the Xmas market going ahead and will they sort out their own licencing issues?

Hi Hugo - I changed it - that OK?  Let me know your google account email address if you wish and I'll give you specific permissions to change the calendar or, if easier, just tell me and I'll do it.

Think we should push for attendees to your event - who wouldn't want to attend a free wine tasting?  Maybe we could each do a post on this thread asking people to 'join' your event and see whether that gains increased attendance?  Or do you think that the community would be keener to support events that have a more direct community benefit to the disadvantaged?
