Feature Request: time out text entry

First, thanks for the great product; makes me much more productive on windows.

I would find it helpful is to have search text time out after a few
seconds if there is no keyboard activity; so if I mistype my criteria,
I can avoid having to backspace and rekey it, but just end up with a
pristine search window.

(This is how quicksilver for the mac behaves, and I find it very
intuitive there.)
